So, maybe the rich really are different than the rest of us. I just came across this story at STLtoday about several lawsuits filed by residents of Ladue because they have been denied a permit to erect a gate on their property and how there are two different factions lining up on opposite sides on the issue of whether to allow gates to be erected in Ladue. It is hard for me to imagine this being an issue anywhere else in the metro area except perhaps Ladue, Huntleigh, or Frontenac. In other words, this is a "problem" that exists solely among the top 2% or so of income earners in America.
